How Secret RF Works and What it Treats
Using 25-64 ultrafine, disposable needles, the Secret RF device gently punctures your skin while also delivering controlled radiofrequency energy into the deeper layers, all without damaging the surface of your skin. The needles can be adjusted to penetrate the upper skin from 0.5mm to 3.5mm dependent on skin concern treated. As your skin’s natural repair processes are activated to heal these micro wounds, your body automatically produces more collagen, which gradually reduces signs of ageing as well as the appearance of scars. What to Expect During a Secret RF Treatment
Prior to the commencement of a Secret RF treatment, a topical anaesthetic cream will be applied, which will require about 30 minutes to take effect. From there, your clinician will insert the microneedles into the device before it is applied to the area of your face or body that needs to be treated. The average treatment lasts about an hour, including the application of the anaesthetic cream. Following your treatment, your skin may be slightly red and warm, but this will subside within a few hours. There maybe some mild to moderate swelling dependent on settings used for the skin concern treated (e.g. Acne scarring utilises deeper micro needling and higher Radiofrequency settings). It is important to cease active skincare for approximately 1 week after the treatment, to allow your skin to heal.
Secret RF Results
Most patients can expect to see noticeable results after one treatment, but optimal results will be seen after two to four Secret RF treatments, spaced four weeks apart. This will vary between patients though and your doctor will be able to advise you on the number of treatments you will require based on the condition of your skin as well as your specific concerns.
