So what are they?
Lip filler augmentation involves injecting a sugar-based gel in your lip and surrounding areas using a small needle or cannula (blunt needle). TGA regulations restrict the advertising of the products used, but this sugar gel is naturally found in your skin, lips and body.

They’re chosen to meet your goals and suit the anatomical shape of your lips. For instance, some fillers look better in a 25-year-old lip compared to a 60-year-old lip.

How long do lip fillers last?
The fillers are non permanent and resolve with time from a few months to 12 months, dependent on the type of filler brand used and endogenous patient factors.
Lip fillers can be “erased” with a sugar enzyme if you have second thoughts or require removal for medical reasons.
Do lip fillers hurt?
The discomfort experienced is mild, brief and manageable. Lip enhancement injections contain a numbing agent (‘local an aesthetic’) mixed with the sugar gel, so your lip numbs whilst the dermal lip filler is being administered.
How long does it take to see results from lip injections?
Results can usually be seen immediately. Of course, there is a small degree of swelling at first, but after 24 hours your lips will settle and reach their optimal result within 24 to 48 hours.

Lip enhancement starts from $400 dollars. Do remember that a dermal filler treatment is a medical treatment and should be performed in a dedicated professional cosmetic doctor based clinic.
How long does the procedure last?
It takes around 15 to 20 minutes in total. The numbing wears off in about 15 -30 mins and you’re free to go about your normal day. This is a walk in, walk out procedure.
What if you don’t like them?
As the filler is a natural occurring substance, it will be broken down over a period of months. However, if you want them gone immediately, there is another injection you can get that dissolves the filler within five minutes and reverses its effects.
