Skin Treatment Options

Skin Treatment Options

At The DOC Clinic, we offer a number of non-surgical skin treatment options. These may be discussed depending on your skin concerns and goals. Options available include Healite II LED, Skin Needling, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), Secret RF (fractionated radiofrequency micro-needling), HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) – Ultraformer III, and a range of laser technologies (Fraxel Dual, Cutera Laser Genesis, Fotona Dynamis with Fotona 4D, 3D, Micropeel, FRAC3, Smooth, and SmoothEye modes).

We also offer Exion — an AI-guided monopolar RF device with four specialised handpieces (RF Needling for collagen and scars, Face for non-invasive hyaluronic-acid stimulation, Body for selected fat-related or laxity concerns, and Clear for tone and texture).

Emface is also available at The DOC Clinic East. Emface uses synchronised RF and HIFES®-based technology and may be discussed for areas such as the forehead, under-eyes, mid/lower face, and submentum (under-chin). Suitability is determined during consultation.

Cutera Excel V Plus is available for vascular and superficial pigment concerns. This platform includes the CoolView handpieces (1064 nm for vascular, 532 nm for vascular/pigment) and a 2 mm Dermastat (532 nm) handpiece often discussed for select benign superficial pigmented lesions such as solar lentigos, benign naevi (moles) and DPN. Suitability depends on skin type and concern and is discussed at the consultation.

Laser Treatments

Laser-based procedures may be considered in relation to skin concerns such as redness, pigmentation, or texture. Two of the main laser treatments available at The DOC Clinic are Laser Genesis and Fraxel.

  • Laser Genesis: Uses laser technology applied to the skin surface. This may be discussed for concerns such as redness or changes in skin tone.
  • Fraxel Dual (1927/1550nm): A fractional laser that targets selected areas of the skin while leaving surrounding tissue unaffected. It may be considered for concerns such as freckles, age spots, acne scars, and other marks. The number of sessions required varies and will be discussed during consultation.

Skin Needling

Skin needling may be discussed for concerns such as texture, scarring, or lines. At The DOC Clinic, devices such as Dermapen and MDerma are used. The process involves creating controlled micro-channels in the skin, which may stimulate natural repair responses. It may also increase the absorption of skincare products applied afterwards.

Financing

The DOC Clinic is a private specialist clinic. Fees charged are in line with AMA recommended rates for specialist consultations. The fee may vary according to the service provided to you on the day you are seen. We require full payment on the day of consultation, and accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard.
Some consultations and/or treatments may attract a Medicare rebate. If so, we will provide a receipt with the relevant Medicare item number. With this receipt, you can visit your local Medicare/Centrelink office, or download the Medicare app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store, then follow the instructions for claiming a Medicare eligible consult, service or treatment. The DOC Clinic DOES NOT process Medicare claims at the clinic.
A Medicare rebate may apply for skin pigmentation consultations, as they involve a medical skin assessment, but not to the treatment itself.
