What is Fotona 4D

Fotona 4D is a laser system that combines different modes, applied both on the surface of the face and inside the mouth. The system uses specific wavelengths that deliver controlled energy to the skin and deeper tissues. It may be considered for patients with concerns such as changes in skin tone, texture, or other visible signs of ageing. The number of sessions, possible outcomes, risks, and aftercare will be discussed before any procedure.

Disclaimer

All treatments require a formal consultation with Dr Omarjee prior to any treatment. During this consultation, patients' concerns are carefully assessed, and a personalised treatment plan is developed. This includes discussing the nature of the proposed treatment(s), alternative treatments, potential risks and relevant complications, aftercare instructions, and the costs involved. It also allows time for patients to ask questions.

Fotona4D Modes

The Fotona 4D system uses four different laser modes, each applied in a specific sequence.

SmoothLiftin

Energy is directed to tissue inside the mouth, focusing on areas around the chin and mouth.

FRAC3

This fractional mode delivers heat to both superficial and deeper layers of the skin.

PIANO

The PIANO mode delivers longer pulses of energy that penetrate deeper skin layers.

SupErficial

This mode is applied at the surface level of the skin as the final stage of the procedure.

Fotona4D Treatment Process

Before starting treatment, concerns, expectations, and options will be discussed in a consultation. A Fotona 4D session usually takes about an hour, although this can vary depending on individual circumstances. A series of at least three sessions spaced two to three weeks apart may be recommended.

Outcomes can vary, and further sessions may be required over time. As with all cosmetic procedures, the natural ageing process will continue, and follow-up sessions may be discussed if suitable.

Fotona4D Recovery

Following a Fotona 4D procedure, patients may experience temporary side effects such as swelling or redness. These effects usually resolve within a few days, although this can vary. Some patients may need to limit activities for a short time while visible effects subside. Aftercare instructions will be provided to support recovery.
