Healite II LED Light
Therapy Melbourne

The Healite II is a light-based system that uses low-level wavelengths applied to the skin surface. This technology delivers light energy without causing thermal damage.

At The DOC Clinic, Healite II sessions may be used on their own or alongside other cosmetic procedures. They can be discussed in relation to concerns such as skin sensitivity, post-treatment care, or acne management. Suitability and timing of sessions are assessed during your consultation.

Disclaimer

All treatments require a formal consultation with Dr Omarjee prior to any treatment. During this consultation, patients' concerns are carefully assessed, and a personalised treatment plan is developed. This includes discussing the nature of the proposed treatment(s), alternative treatments, potential risks and relevant complications, aftercare instructions, and the costs involved. It also allows time for patients to ask questions.

Healite II – What It Treats

Healite II is a non-surgical light treatment that can be used on its own or alongside other cosmetic procedures such as facials or laser sessions. Different wavelengths are applied depending on the concern being addressed:

Blue Wavelengths

  • Used in relation to acne-prone skin.

Yellow Wavelengths

  • May be considered in post-treatment care to support skin recovery.
  • Skin Rejuvenation by stimulating collagen and elastin.
  • Can be used for concerns such as swelling, redness, or sensitivity.
  • Sometimes, applied following procedures to help with overall comfort.

What to Expect During a Healite II Treatment

Healite II is a low-level light therapy that uses LED technology applied to the skin surface. The session involves sitting or lying while the light is directed at the treatment area.

A typical Healite II session takes around 10 to 20 minutes, depending on factors such as the treatment area and the overall plan. If Healite II is used alongside another procedure, Dr Ed Omarjee or a dermal clinician will explain how it fits into your treatment during your consultation.

Healite II: What to Expect After Treatment

The number of Healite II sessions can vary and will depend on your treatment goals. For example, some patients may have sessions scheduled after cosmetic procedures, while others may have a series of sessions planned for concerns such as acne or changes in skin appearance.

After a session, you may notice temporary effects such as redness or warmth in the treated area. These effects can differ between patients. The treated skin may also feel more sensitive for a certain amount of time. Dr Omarjee will provide aftercare instructions, such as keeping the area protected from the sun and avoiding activities that may irritate the skin.

Medicare coverage

Medically relevant consultations usually are eligible for a Medicare-specific refund. (Cosmetic consultations are not Medicare eligible.)
