Disclaimer
All treatments require a formal consultation with Dr Omarjee prior to any treatment. During this consultation, patients' concerns are carefully assessed, and a personalised treatment plan is developed. This includes discussing the nature of the proposed treatment(s), alternative treatments, potential risks and relevant complications, aftercare instructions, and the costs involved. It also allows time for patients to ask questions.
Combination treatments with Emface
At The DOC Clinic, we customise each procedure plan to the goals and needs of the patient. Adding an additional treatment method can help encourage the patient’s desired result, whether it be facial tightening, recontouring, or wrinkle reduction.
Each procedure type comes with its own benefits and risks, which should all be considered before deciding on the right combination of treatments for you. For example, Emface may pair well with:
- Wrinkle treatment
- Volume treatment
- Exion (RF-Ai assisted)
- Fotona T runner tightening (Non ablative Erbium Laser)
- Ultraformer 3 (HIFU)
- Fotona Smootheye (Non ablative Erbium Laser)
- Laser Genesis (Cutera Excel V+ or Cutera XEO at 532 nm or 1064 nm), depending on skin tone, redness, and textural concerns
The particular procedure you undergo will depend on your expectations, treatment areas, and the specialised guidance of Dr Omarjee.
Aftercare
There is no downtime associated with Emface recovery. However, it’s important to care for your skin, as it will be more sensitive than normal. You can expect some redness, which should fade soon after the procedure, and we may advise that you avoid certain treatments and products for a time. These instructions will be given according to your personalised treatment plan. Ensure that you follow all instructions given by your practitioner at The DOC Clinic and contact us if you have any post-treatment concerns.
Aftercare advice includes:
- Avoid alcohol and active skincare for a minimum of 24 hours
- Stay well-hydrated
- Protect your skin from the sun
- Maintain a healthy and active lifestyle
- Avoid exercise for 24 hours
- Gently cleanse your face, and avoid makeup for 24 hours
The results will appear gradually, and we typically recommend waiting three months after the fourth treatment session to see the full effect. The sessions are usually spaced one to two weeks apart. This means patients will need to practise the appropriate aftercare following each session as the treatments take effect.

Frequently Asked Questions – Emface
What is Emface?
Emface is a non-invasive facial treatment that aims to lift and tone the face without needles, toxins, or downtime. It is the first and only treatment that simultaneously targets the skin and facial muscles using a combination of HIFES (High-Intensity Facial Electrical Stimulation) and Synchronised Radiofrequency (RF).
How many treatments will I need?
Achieving the desired outcomes might require several treatment sessions. The standard protocol is four sessions, spaced seven to 10 days apart. Each session lasts about 20 minutes. Maintenance every 6 months is often recommended to support muscle tone.
What are the expected results?
Emface is designed to combat signs of ageing, including skin laxity and facial definition in the cheeks, brows, and jawline. Patients may notice changes after two to three sessions and peak eight to 12 weeks after the final session.
Keep in mind, however, that each patient may require a different treatment plan and may experience different results.
Is there any pain associated with Emface?
Patients experience little to no pain during Emface treatment. There may be a warm or tingling sensation, but this is typically well tolerated. Patients may also have slight redness immediately after treatment, and in rare cases, a light muscle ache (similar to post-gym soreness). However, since the procedure is non-invasive, the side effects are generally minimal and temporary.
How should I prepare for treatment?
Arrive with clean skin, without makeup or skincare products. Also, avoid heavy sun exposure or facial treatments for 24 hours prior to treatment.
Is Emface suitable for all skin types?
Yes, this treatment is suitable for all skin types (Fitzpatrick I–VI).
What are the treatment areas?
Common treatment areas include the forehead and brows, cheeks and midface, jawline and lower face, and the periorbital (eye) region using specific protocols.
Is it compatible with other cosmetic treatments?
Yes. Emface can be performed in patients who have previously received other cosmetic treatments. During your consultation, Dr Omarjee will assess timing and suitability based on your treatment history.
How long does each session take?
Each treatment takes 20 minutes, with 10–15 minutes allocated for prep and post-care advice.
Who should not have emface?
Emface is not suitable for patients with pacemakers, defibrillators, cochlear implants, facial metalware, open wounds, active skin infections, or during pregnancy. Certain neurological or muscular disorders may also be contraindicated.
What is the aftercare?
There is no downtime. You may return to work, exercise, or social activities immediately. Hydrate well, apply SPF 30+ daily, and avoid strong heat for 24 hours.
